The Intel Core i7-4790K was a desktop CPU having four cores. Intel Hyper-Threading basically doubles the core count to eight threads. The Core i7-4790K has 8 MB of L3 cache and runs at 4 GHz by default, but can go up to 4.4 GHz depending on the workload. Intel produced the Core i7-4790K using a 22 nm manufacturing process with 1,400 million transistors. The unlocked multiplier on the Core i7-4790K may be freely adjusted, which substantially simplifies overclocking by allowing you to dial in any overclocked frequency.
